Biting my time includes a collection of new works, exploring such diverse subjects as the role of fire in our society and language, women’s work, and human faces transported across thousands of years. Through labour-intense hand knitted images, an attempt is made at visualising the journeys of human-made objects through time, space and the elements.

Sigrún Hlín Sigurðardóttir (b. 1988, Reykjavík, Iceland) works primarily with textiles, text and drawing. Sigrún’s work is concerned with the human connection to images, symbols and the material worlds, in the past, present and future. She graduated with an M.A. degree in Fine Art from the University of Bergen in the spring of 2021, and  a B.A. degree in Fine Art from Iceland University of Arts prior to that. She currently lives and works in Reykjavík, Iceland
